City regulators will square off against a medical marijuana provider at a Council meeting Tuesday night where they will make their case to close it down.

Greenleaf Wellness Group near the corner of Sacramento Street has been the subject of neighborhood complaints about litter and customers smoking marijuana on the sidewalks.

The city contends the operation, called a collective, should be closed because it is in violation of a law that only allows marijuana collectives in residential areas, but it is currently zoned as a commercial building.

Al Antonini, who is the building owner but does not run the operation, said if the city finds that Greenleaf is illegal, he will fight the determination in court.

The City Council meeting is set for 7 p.m. at 2134 Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
