Hey sixman, they are probably springtails and you should probably hope they are. I had a hard time identifying them when I first saw them because they are so small and hard to see clearly. You should be able to see antennas and they jump around when you water. They eat organic matter in the soil and many believe them to be beneficial and an indicator of good living soil. I could do without them. They are very common and often are in soil you buy. Check it out, hopefully that is your critter. Good luck and good growing
