How long is too long?

I germed my seeds with the paper towel method and when they exposed taproots I planted in soil. That was 4 days ago they are warm they have light. Was just wondering what is the longest it will take to sprout.

They should be out of the soil by now unless you planted them too deep, 1/4 inch max is about right.

If you don't see anything with in a week n 1/2 then you planted too deep
