San Jose medical cannabis dispensary Elemental Wellness has a hit cooking class on their hands.
Every Tuesday, members of the large, award-winning collective at 711 Charcot Ave in the South Bay metropolis attend a free, 5:30 p.m. 'Cooking with Cannabis' lesson by Chef Gabe — a former Senior Cook at Crown and Merrill Colleges, former chef at Google, and former Head Chef of Ciao Bella Restaurant in Ben Lomond. Gabriel has lived and worked on organic farms in Hawaii, and can cook vegan and vegetarian as well as work around allergies. He has been trained in HACCP federal food safety standards, and is ServSafe certified.
This Tuesday, June 11, Chef Gabe "makes the most medicated dessert in cooking class history!" Elemental Wellness states online. "Smooth and creamy Creme de Canna ice cream is sandwiched between two potent & delicious Clarified Confection Cookies and covered in chocolate."
Umm, an ice cream cookie sandwich made with store-bought items seems like a ludicrously easy thing to "cook". But, given the crowd, maybe that's the point?
At any rate. The dispensary tells patients to "Brrrrr...ing your sweet tooth to cooking class ... and take home a super cool sample!"
