CONCORD, N.H.–Police in East Kingston, N.H., say they've seized more than 100 pounds of processed marijuana and 77 marijuana plants from a house located across the street from an elementary school.
Police say the marijuana was worth $277,000. Forty-seven-year-old Paul Gifford has been charged with manufacturing a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute. He's been released on $50,000 bail pending a March 11 court date.
Authorities tell WMUR-TV the seizure was the result of a four-month investigation by state and local police.
The house is across the street from East Kingston Elementary School.
