Medical Marijuana Discussion at Temecula Senior Center

The recent US Supreme Court ruling which upheld the California Medical Marijuana law is a point of contention for many citizens of Riverside County.

Topics such as the science behind marijuana use and how the county will implement a legal access system for patients with ID card will be addressed at the July 15 Community Facility District (CDF) meeting sponsored by Citizens for Democracy.

There will be an explanation of California's journey with the 1996 Compassionate Use Act (Prop. 215) Supreme Court ruling on May 18.

Speaker Larry Swerdlow, medical director for THCF Medical Clinic in Riverside, will explain the medical aspects.

In keeping with the CFD belief that a well-informed citizenry is an essential element for wise public policy, this meeting is open to the public.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Mary Phillips Senior Center on 6th Street in Temecula.
