Need to know the right ph for growing with a wick system;octopots

I am growing in soil with cocoa in the wick ,foxfarm nutes.I was told to keep the ph 6.5 to 7.5 because of the cocoa.Does that sound right? Thanks for any help.

Hell, no, that ain't right. For coco, your sweet spot is 5.8
