Node?

OK, I searched and found 6 pages, with no good explanation, or even better, a picture..(I didnt read every return to the search!!)

What is the "NODE"?

this is an old pic but you get the point. where the stems of the leaves and the main stalk of the growing shute meet.

So if your gonna clone, would you take the cutting from the leaf at the bottom of the picture, (cant really see it) or from the one above that one, in the middle of the picture?

That pic is of a very young plant. No clones on that one. You want small Branches not leaves as what that pic is showing. Short Bus Driver!
 
when cloning you need to take it from a mature plant, make sure the cutting has its own 'top' or new growth, cut with at least 3 or four nodes on the branch your cutting. before putting end in rooting hormone make sure to have a nice clean 45 degree angle, dip then plant firmly in the rockwool.
