Roadside check uncovers marijuana

Sarnia, Ont. -- Ontario Provincial Police in Lambton County turned up a large amount of marijuana when they pulled a Toronto driver over during a weekend roadside check for impaired drivers.

Police said that a minivan hauling a boat was pulled over in Sarnia.

They said they became suspicious of two large canvas bags in the boat's open compartment.

Upon further investigation they found that the bags contained more than 25 kilograms of marijuana.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with trafficking.

He is in custody awaiting a bail hearing today in Sarnia
