Seltzer water

I was reading last night in Ed's book that some have reported increased growth by misting plants with seltzer water and watering with it as well.
It also said to avoid club soda as it has too much sodium. Has anyone ever tried this???

the misting with seltzer water or carbonated water is good because the seltzer water has co2. so you will be giving the plant more energy to grow with more co2
