Outdoor Sativa grown in the ground (First outdoor grow)

Up to now aside from 3 clones i have done no trimming or pruning of any sort, i have read many different takes on de foliating but there is way to many things being said both ways i don't know what the right thing is. at the moment i am of the opinion that if it is on the tree it is meant to be there....Can anybody give me some input on this please?

The buds are coming nicely too they seem to be taking shape...
