How I got 2.6 lbs per 1000 watt with the Original Sativa OG Kush

I've had the original Sativa OG Kush strain for a very long time my time. And as you probably heard it's the least yielder from all the other indica dominant commercial OG Kush strains going around.
I have always averaged anywhere between 1.5 to 2 lbs per 1000 watt with most my grows in the 1.7 average. But for the first time In my growing history I got 2.6 lbs per 1000 watt. And here is what I did different.

Previously I would use air cooled hoods, tank co2, and my secrete recipe which already works wonders.

I used non air cooled hoods, a co2 burner, but I did something different during veg. I would normally veg with 600 watt mh bulbs but this time I vegged with 1000 watt mh bulbs. I noticed a huge reduction in internode length by doing this and my OG Sativa plants were looking looking more like indica plants. The stems were thick and strong and i did not let them stretch over 40 inches after the initial 2 week super growth that happens after I initiated flowering. I had twice the amount of bud sites within 40 inches of plant height. I topped them a few times as well to get more shoots too. And supercropped any stem trying to stretch as this plant has the tendency to stretch easily. I used 9 plants per light and had 15 lights all together. I pulled 39 lbs of super dense nugs. Because of the new way I vegged and ofcourse having all my other basics covered I was a ble to pull this weight on the original supposedly low yielding Sativa OG Kush. I will try this again to see if I can replicate these results. As im sure it was not a fluke. I'll keep u all posted

After doing more research to what makes dense go nugs, I cam across an interesting article that talks about the right balance of plants per light and height per plant. During Veg you want to make sure your plant does not stretch and it shoots out close internode space. You can control this by the intensity of the light. I kept a 1000 watt mh bulb 3 to 4 feet from the tops. and this helped a lot. Any plant that seems to want to stretch make sure to super crop the stem by first squeezing it then bending it sideways. Also top the plants a few times to get at least 6 strong main shoots per plant. Don't bring them into the flowering room taller than 15 inches with 6 strong main shoots. Use 6-9 plants per 4x4 area with 1000 watt mhps bulbs. Do not air cool lights as the glass tends to get dirty and you lose a lot of lumens. Keep the bulbs about 12-15 inches from the tops but make sure to have some soft air hitting them or they might burn or grow airy. This is the secrete to getting dense buds where you ca yield 2.6 lbs per 4x4 area. Note that when the number of plants per 4x4 area is right and the height is no more than 42 inches, you will have bottom buds as big and dense as the top buds and that is how you pull weight. Packing too many plants per 4x4 area causes plants to stretch and grow lots of leaves that shade the bottom nug sites from growing big and dense. I've done rounds were the top colas were coke bottles and the bottom buds were small pulling anywhere from 1.5 to 2 lbs per light but the only time I've gotten 2.6 lbs per light is when all the buds were pretty much even throughout from top to bottom.
