Growbox

Hey people!

How big should a growbox be and what are the essentials that I need in it?
Want to start growing my own bud here in Cape Town. Please comment below.

Thanks

I use my grow box for clones and first couple of weeks into veg.

My flower box is 3 meters tall.
.75 meters wide and 1 meter long.

I grow one plant at a time.

I have never used the cash crop box to flower.

One box to veg and a bigger one to flower.

South Africa has a strain called DURBAN POISON that is one of the crosses in GIRL SCOUT COOKIES.

In CALIFORNIA it's real popular and too large for a cash box!

Cash boxes are great for cloning and early veg only for most growers.

Hi there,

First thing I want to emphasize is that this is just a personal opinion, not the absolute truth, I accept that I might be wrong. But I have used quite a few number of grow tents and I've also grown in actual rooms that were only used for growing. So I'm trying no to just talk out of my ass. After clearing that up, here goes:

Before buying anything, you really should know what type of grow you want to have.
*Do you want to grow hydroponically or do you want to grow in soil?
*Do you want a bunch of small plants or 1 or 2 large ones (which, by the way, may end up yielding as much as 20 smaller ones)?
*How much money are you willing to invest in the project?
*How much time are you willing to invest in the project (checking on them 2-3 times a day, or leaving them undisturbed for a few days at a time)

After you know that, then this is what I would do if I were to buy a growbox tent today:

The one I liked the most, out of those that I've used, is the HOMEBOX XXL. It's 240 cm long x 120 cm wide x 200 cm tall. If you only plan on growing for yourself, this should be big enough to host two monster plants, that can easily yield you 1lb of dry, highest grade bud. (To see what technique I'm talking about, please go and check out this guy's grow method, it's the bomb https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/how-bend-top-your-way-1-pound-monster.190958/ ).
Regarding what you will need inside the actual grow tent, as I wrote above, it depends how much money and time you are willing to spend. But a decent setup would be:
* 2 Digital adjustable wattage ballasts, that you can set to 300 W, 400 W, 600 W or super lumens
* 2 HPS 600 W lamps (for flowering)
* 2 MH 400 W lamps (for vegetation)
* 2 Reflectors (preferably with air-cooled hoods, since it's going to get steaming hot in the grow tent without them)
* 1 extractor fan and tubular ducting for the air cooled hoods of the reflectors
* 2 bigger extractor fans with tubular ducting to aerate your tent (one to push air in, one to pull air out). Calculate it so that all the air in the tent is fully exchanged at most every 5 minutes, preferably every 2 minutes.
* 1 active carbon filter, which you would connect to the extractor fan that pulls the air out of the tent
* 1, preferably 2 air circulating fans, to move the air around in the tent
* a thermal-hygrometer, which measures both the humidity and the temperature in the tent at all times, and has a min/max setting, so that you can see both the highest and the lowest the temperature and humidity have ever been in a certain period of time
* pots, air pots or a more advanced hydroponic system, depending, like I wrote, on whatever method of growing you choose (I really do recommend you use TheCapn's growing method, as it's not very complicated and the return on investment that you get is exponential)
