I have seen ebb & flow with seperate dutch style drain trays. Each batch of plants had their own tray so ages were easy to keep control of and each tray had its own resivoir. That`s the only way I have ever seen it work flawlessly. Im sure there are other tricks to it but I dont know them...
Try keeping the temps where you have them. Plants wont take up water/nutes if they aren`t transpiring moisture. Meaning if its too hot or too cold the plant is stressed and will not feed leading to deficiencies and possibly death. Also i have seen a few cases of the leaves yellowing and...
Re: Yarddog's Waterfarm-White Widow grow
Thats how i feel too. Always taking a second reading for ph or ppm before i feel satisfied with my results. Your WW is looking incredible. She`s really filling out nicely.
I recently had a chance to try some Blue Dream also. That was some tasty smoke...
Heks, she is looking nice and healthy. Im not a huge fan of using LEDs for primary lighting but they are good and will produce some sticky buds if used correctly. Your plant looks awesome along with the bucket setup. Props to you for a good start on your grow!
Hey! Glad to hear they are doing well. Keeping the temp changes to a minimum will maximize growth too. Meaning try to keep a low difference from the day temps to night temps.
Post up some pics so we can enjoy please :grinjoint:
Welcome!
I would also invest in a computer fan to help stiffen up the lil sprout.
Ps: WM sells mostly 2700s but you can find 4300s too. Lowes or Home Depot will have a better variety of CFL spectrum and wattages to choose from. Hope your baby gets off to a great start!
These are sympyoms of N deficiency. I know that it sucks but you need to wait. Your plants will not recover from a deficiency overnite. Also how is the growth rate looking? Has growth slowed down? Reusing soil causes a lot of problems deficiencies and pests are the top two. Also when you feed...
Re: Looking to water a bit differently...
I water till container capacity is met meaning water until water runs out the drain holes, the medium should be completely saturated as stated above. The plants will suck up water from below but a quick "Flood" of water from a tube can not only...
Re: Auto-flowering white widow lowlife under CFL'S new to growing.
The house light may be drying the top layer or soil out. The lights will evaporate a tiny bit of moisture from the soil but with 3 lights that shouldn`t be much.
Keep us posted on how the seedling is. :bong:
Re: Yarddog's Waterfarm-White Widow grow
Yard your ladie looks beautiful. Glad to see you caught your deficiency quickly and avoided a bad situation. :blunt:
:goodluck: Don`t worrie Be happy my friend
There are problems that can always occur but if you keep your res clean regularly you shouldn`t have to worrie. You will notice a small explosion of growth once the roots reach the res. I did in my second grow.
Also if you DO decide to trim the roots be careful. Trimming roots is a technique...
I have heard that plants love a cooler res temp too but I never got the chance to hear a number associated with this. Thanks for the very useful information!
