    Help create local mix soil

way back in the 70's we all put activated charcoal in our ornamental potted plants, but I don't think you want 30% in your mix. it seems each region has its own variety of biochar. Google it and locate something locally. it ought to be cheap, so if you run into something high priced, walk...

Foliar spray & tea for foliar spray as well - In addition to soil feedings

I have a class of things rated as EDTA and are ONLY good for foliar feeding. if you dissolved them and watered the roots with them, the plant would only see/find the water. I haven't messed with spraying teas on my plants, particularly teas which contain molasses, for instance. I'd also avoid...

    Molasses - Non-sulfur

I thought there was a sticky at the top of the page. I checked and didn't find it. molasses adds carbohydrates to the soil. plants can't use molasses directly. microbes eat the molasses and shit out stuff the plant can use. however, if you are using chemical fertilizers, you don't have any...

    Help create local mix soil

I'm surprised that the corporate set hasn't pounced on you. apparently, there are only certain brands of ingredients which are allowed. like you, I blend my own. I don't have a choice, but perhaps you do. I had zero luck with coco and have avoided it like the plague since. I don't...

Can you tell what sex a plant is going to be from when it's a seed?

I wish that chart worked. it would save me a lot of trouble and heartache. best of luck with your grow!

Can you tell what sex a plant is going to be from when it's a seed?

I used that chart that's running around to separate and then choose my seeds for this grow. I wanted three males but all three of those were girls and half of my "assured to be female" seeds were males. that chart goes in the trash where it belongs.

I hate curing - Please help

sorry. everything I've read or experienced says that's 100% incorrect. in order to get a good cure, you need to catch the product on the way down in humidity. what everybody's said above is correct. dry it on hangers until the buds are more or less dry to the touch, then jar it. it's better...

I hate curing - Please help

good advice here. but what caught my attention was your description of black ash. I believe that's caused by insufficient flushing, if you were using chemical nutes.

    Need help with my issue

I'm not the expert. I'm sure someone will chime in and I hope by posting something, you'll get that aid. I grow at those same temps, mostly. it raises havoc, even with hybrids which are advertised to thrive at those temps. I've used those hydroton balls before and they do tend to allow for...

Is there a possability of starting a sub-forum for differant climates?

I think, though, that the issue with this particular forum is that it is simply not arranged to support our wishes. that's too bad, but I think it's the reality.
