So I'm making the switch to no till with coot's mix with living mulch and im trying to settle on a blend. Shooting for Albrecht ratios, heres what i got:
10cuft total
3cf premier peat(no added anything, just peat)
3cf grow stones(cant get pumice here)
3cf humus consisting of 2/3 worm gold...
I can get a bit scatter brained. Lol. That whole mission statement is why im here! Well that and the bud porn! Im almost tempted a bit to hold off on the cookies and try sprouting these durban poison bxs i got. But cookies...
Wasnt aware doc was carying the wayahead! I The reason i ask about the recycling is that doc had said that with the exess salts to throw out the soil, after a single run. Im glad that theres a way to reuse it!
Yeah, ill have to give that a try. I used 1tbl bm this time. Does that mean that Duggan reuses the mix after running ogs? I would love to figure out how to do that.
Ahh awesome, not sure if its berner's cut or what that was used but got seeds from archive. When i added the the epsom salts and blood meal to the tgk, it burned them pretty bad. It was the tops that got it so, im thinkin it was the epsom salts. Was definetely lacking on a good root ball, plus...
Has anyone run a cookies strain? Thinkin bout running some thin mints in the brix. The TGK i have running didnt turn out so well this first round i did.
It may be way out there for this soil but could I feed amino chelated magnesium instead of the Epsom? So as to not have large salt build ups? I was really hoping to recycle my soil. Also the stuff I have is OG X (pine tar k x purple chitral k) so some older landraceish strain as a parent.
Hey just got some of the kit plants into flower and one of em started showing mag deficentcies, the doc still recommend 7 teaspoons per 5 gallons to treat those( I kinda missed a heft part of the middle of this thread)It's an OG (snow high TGK) so it defiantly possible it needs it just don't...
I have since quit using EJ except as a supplement/addition but, i might be able to help out. I always thought that the suggested bubbling time was 24-48 hours. You might be able to fix your ph problem by letting it go a little more. But be careful b/c the ph starts to go up fast, at anywhere...
First, thanks for responding to all of my posts. so your saying 12 tsps(1/4 cup) a 5 gallon container isn't enough? 2/3 a cup sound better?
I like to keep my perlite % down. I've been toying with the idea of adding coco to lighten the mix up a bit but havent yet.
