Unfortunately I've already ordered 1 seed of each strain which in hindsight seems like a poor decision but you live and you learn ha. Hopefully with topping and good training I'll be able to control the sativa's affinity for taller heights. I just am a huge sativa fan which was why I ordered single sativa beans of different strains.

Snoog, ...evenin brotha. You will be fine with them, don't fret. Here's the thing...don't wait too long to flip them. They are hybrids , so you may get lucky. There are so many different things you can do , but the bottom line is...if they get too big , they will over-run your space , very quickly, and nothing will stop them except for damaging , extreme measures. Snoog, take a few min's. and look thru the late stages of my Desfran (Destroyer X Destroyer) journal. That will give you a great idea of what can happen when you let them get too big. If you like Sativas , you should check out "Lilly" from Delicatessen seeds., thru ACE. It is 100% Sativa , nice , nice buzz, and stays very short, squat, with massive colas, big freekish buds . It's my 'still function' weed. Anyhow , just a few thoughts for ya. Have an awesome night Snoog and gang.

Has anyone run a cookies strain? Thinkin bout running some thin mints in the brix. The TGK i have running didnt turn out so well this first round i did.

We've run a couple of Berner's strains and they do very well if you treat them like an OG....but let the roots grow first, before adding all the bloodmeal/epsoms, etc.

Ahh awesome, not sure if its berner's cut or what that was used but got seeds from archive.When i added the the epsom salts and blood meal to the tgk, it burned them pretty bad. It was the tops that got it so, im thinkin it was the epsom salts. Was definetely lacking on a good root ball, plus got hit with an unusual cold spell. so after the salt top dress they really stoped drinking... so i didnt do it again. Definately have to pick up the og drench movin foward.

I'm starting to make some progress on these strains lately by keeping things pretty much by the book for a long veg time and a well developed rootball. Then, I'm really nice to it in early bloom, using the WayAhead and light to moderate feedings, trying to really baby the roots along.

Finally, when I'm confident there's a nice root system I'll top dress with the bloodmeal and epsoms, not being in a hurry to water it all in at once.

I'm starting to make some progress on these strains lately by keeping things pretty much by the book for a long veg time and a well developed rootball. Then, I'm really nice to it in early bloom, using the WayAhead and light to moderate feedings, trying to really baby the roots along.

Finally, when I'm confident there's a nice root system I'll top dress with the bloodmeal and epsoms, not being in a hurry to water it all in at once.

My guess would be the bm as the culprit of burning since it's a pretty hot nitrogen source. If you're concerned about top dressing epsoms, there is another way. Here's how brother duggan lined me out on epsoms in early bloom.


Here's how to do it Budley.....Give one teaspoon /gal. of RO or distilled for three consecutive drinks....then go two without, then give for another three times. Do this by dissolving it in a glass of warm water (just nuke it for 30 sec's.)...it will mix up really good like this and not look like a bunch of crystals but will be totally dissolved. Then just pour that mixture into your reg. feed water and apply.This is a full proof method ....I've proved it to myself over and over again! It works SOOO well cuz instead of hitting the PANIC button when you finally realize there's a problem and give them way too much....they get it gradually over a period of time....and not so much , as to mess up our coveted DBHBB soil.

Morning Med...yes , I recycle our DBHBB soil three times is all...after we use and amend it three times I give that batch away to my neighbor for his flowers and veggies and stuff. Do some reading on how to use the "kit"....it's a link in Doc's. sig. OK! Cheers everyone.

Wasnt aware doc was carying the wayahead! I The reason i ask about the recycling is that doc had said that with the exess salts to throw out the soil, after a single run. Im glad that theres a way to reuse it!

Ya Med,...you can still re-use our soil if you have used Epsoms ....just remember not to over doo it...the salts will build up over a few runs OK! Cheers.
