Re: so, i found this bulb--help ok after looking up more light pictures online, it looks like an HPS with a blue glass bulb... its not very big just screws in a regular light socket, should i get rid of 1 1600 cfl for the one hps, i will have 5 other cfls for the plant still.

i was cleaning out my room and found a blue light bulb that was used for an iguana i used to have. the inside has a long strait glass tube with like 8 small wires coming out of it in diffrent spots. does anyone know what kind of bulb this is? and i THINK it was one that is supposed to imitate...

well the cfls make litterlty like NO heat, i can run them for an hour strait, and hold it in my bare palm with NO problem, honestly dosnt even feel warm at all

i specificly said the halogen and the xmas lights are for heat only, their light dosnt matter, this is in my attic and gets below freezing, the plant will be lst'd and will only be grown small.

im going to be using a 1.5 x 1.5ft box that is about 3 feet high. im using 6 23 watt cfls. the box will be located in the attic which goes below freezing so i have a halogen lamp. (around 70 watts, i dont remember exactly) also the walls inside will have a small christmass light set wraped...

well the temp. with 6 23watt cfls and one halogen is 70degrees. and thats 10,850 lumans for 1 plant in a 2x2 grow box ....should be fine?
