The Napa Special Investigations Bureau has reported seizing more than 12,000 marijuana plants in eastern Napa County as part of the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP).
The majority of the plants, which have an estimated street value of $36 million, were discovered by NSIB personnel during special reconnaissance missions, the agency said.

The plants were taken from the Pleasure Cove, Capell Valley and Pope Creek areas adjacent to Lake Berryessa, and several campsites were located near the plants, the NSIB saied.
One crop was reported to authorities by a hunter who had been scouting the area with his son, the NSIB said.

Other grow sites were located by property owners or managers who learned that hundreds of gallons of water per day were being diverted to water the plants, according to the NSIB.
No one has been arrested at this time, the agency said.
