12 plant 3'x4' scrog Q.

Hi 420 community. I'v been lurking this site for a cuple of months and I think i'v soaked up enough info to give growing a try. I have a question and would like someone to make sure I did my math right. Because of hight restrictions I'm going use the scrog method. Here's my question.

My scrog net is going to be 3'x4'. To figure out how much light I need to I use my screen square footage or my grow space? I was planing on using 2 400 watt hps lights. I calculated it out to be just over 66 watts per square foot. Is this right?

2 - 400W lights will be more than enough for a 3'x4' grow area.
