Members of the Lee County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, assisted by Bravo (East) District deputies, responded to 3101 7th Street W, Lehigh Acres, on Tuesday in reference to an anonymous tip out of the Miami area that the residence was the site of a large scale marijuana grow house operation.

When investigators arrived on scene, they made contact with the sole occupant of the home, identified as Felicia Garcia Gonzalez, 48. Detectives could immediately smell marijuana on Gonzalez.

A search of the home revealed two bedrooms each containing fourteen full grown marijuana plants. A third room contained eleven full grown plants. Investigators then discovered seventy-one small marijuana plants inside a bathroom and twenty-three more plants of different sizes in the garage.

In all, one-hundred thirty-three plants were recovered. The plants had a street value estimated at more than five-hundred thirty-thousand dollars. Various drug paraphernalia was also found during the operation.

Gonzalez was placed under arrest and transported to the Lee County Jail without incident. She has been charged with one felony count each of Marijuana Cultivation, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Equipment.
