600 hps/mh bulb brand make a difference on there life??

hey guys I got a 600 hps/mh digital ballast set up.. i got it off of bay.. yeah the kit was cheep but both bulbs popped on me like after 20 hours of play.. wtf!!

question is there a good brand i should go with that will give me longevity and the best output?? are there warranty on bulbs?

Typically bulbs have a 1 year warranty. Ballasts will have 3-5 years.

Brand names typically have better customer service and have their "brand name" on the line as far as reputation. No-name brands or off-brands don't care as much about reputation.

I would say no not always will you get more longevity with name brands, however you typically will have a better experience if something goes wrong.

Just a thought, could it be the ballast? Becareful if you spend some money on good bulbs, cause it might happen again.
