I'm a bit inexperienced. Amy buds have those white hairs or pistols I think those are called. Are those the same as the trichomes that are supposed to turn mushroom shaped and a brownish color. Also I am about to flush my plant with water, do I still use the solution to balance the ph in the water or use pure water only with an unbalanced ph? Anyone who can help thanks

distilled water...rain water...water PH'd to your grow, these are all fine. If you are seeing white hairs, you likely have a way to go yet. The trichs are the crystals themselves...not the hairs. The hairs will likely be all red and mostly "sucked in" by the time you're done

Purified water that is ph'ed is best. 
Sounds too early for harvest. Post pics and the water doesn't matter in the end
