I know that people who have had back injuries and other serious pain problems have been referred by doctors to cannibus clubs, but my question is: Did the patients ask the doctors to be referred or is it the doctors own decision to refer them to a club.

Reason I'm asking is because I have a doctors appointment coming up because of a knee injury I have and I was wonderin if I would look like a dumb ass for asking to be referred. I don't want my doctor thinking I'm some stoner who just wants club weed, even tho I am. Haha.. .

So does anyone know if I should ask? or just wait to see if the doctor says anything. Also, what are good reasons for people even getting club cards anyway? I'm 21 so I'm wondering if the doctor would think I'm too young to be getting one. Anyone got any knowledge on this topic. Get back at me,
Peace.

You're not too young, 17 is too young. But your reason will need either some serious tweaking, or a more devestating accident. I'm not the expert on any of this so I could always be wrong, but I would assume that only patients with chronic ailments would recieve a referal. For knee pain due to an injury that's likely to heal soon, I think your doctor may just reccomend aspirin.

being a licenced user in Ca. I've some experience with this, first your DR. probably won't want to deal with this question, so after being denied ask if they know of a DR. who precribes MMJ. So, you might look in local newspapers in want ads under services offered or personals or in a general ad someplace in paper as we do in Mendo Co.
Also thought I noticed that SJ city approved an office or store front to be opened if so they would have leads to DRs, any local club would have provider names for your area.
hope this helps
