Bubble cloner

Should the steam of the clone be IN or OUT of the water in a bubble cloner ?
I'm making a small cupboard to home them out of sight , will I need good airflow (fan) and do I add nutrients to the water ?

i would just have the very tip touching , the spray of the bubbles should be enough no nutes as the have no roots little fan would be enough and not too much light
