Buds?

Hey everyone i have this plant growing on my balcony...i started it from a seed mid july the plant is about 2 feet tall now and is definately a female....there is aboslutely no signs of buds but its growing pretty good.....i guess my question is....do i just let nature take its course and hope buds start to appear b4 it gets too cold or is there something i can do to make the buds start appearing......i live in canada by the way so i have till about the end of october maybe a few weeks after that if lucky!

any suggestions would be appreciated

The reason your plants isn't budding is because it's recieving light at night.
It will never bud unless it gets TOTAL DARKNESS during the night, no light from the house (you mentioned it's growing on a balcony) or any other source.

That's right.
Imagine the plant sitting out by itself deep deep in the woods at night.
More light than that is too much.
