Bugs in grow area

So my grow is in an attic, which is not ideal but is all I could pull off. When I was setting it up there were not really any bugs up there that I noticed, but after starting, and having the soil bags up there, I am noticing more than one kind of bug in the area. Ive seen a little dot, shelled lookin bug on the soil of plants, and saw an ant looking bug crawling on the ground. Could this become a problem or are they harmless?

make spray and kill. i use 1 quart of warm water with 1/2 tsp of lisquid soap and 1/4 cooking oil

I dont know anyone skilled enough to diagnose a bug problem only by description...
