Could i get my mmar?

hey everybody i just wondering if my following injury would let me sign up for mmar.

i was playing hockey 2 years ago and i went to hit somebody(im canadian) and the guy moved and as i went to stop i caught an edge and went head first into the boards. i was knocked out and i compressed my spine to where i was carried off in an ambulance had the mri etc.. i wasnt able to get up in the morning or lay myself down to sleep. i have pain every time i lay flat on the floor or fall cuz i tripped or something.. would this be a good enough reason for my doctor if she was willing.. to sign my forms?? i have the medical records to proove my accident. PLEASE ANSWER ME 420 PEOPLE <3

The only person that can answer your question is the doctor.

In the U.S., the answer is most always YES when accompanied by a couple hundred dollars in cash.

But I hear Canada has a much better medical system.

Hi. I am Canadian, a chronic pain patient (fibro), and have recently received the gov's 'blessing' in the form of licenses to both grow and use mmj. To answer your question, I agree with Ptg: it will depend entirely on your doc. If your family doctor can get you into see a pain specialist, it should greatly increase your chances of being able to apply for a card. There are so many variables involved, each case is unique, but if you want my personal take on your chances, I believe they are very good - IF you find a compassionate doc.

I do not think you can expect to walk in, ask him/her to sign the forms, and voila. Most doctors would rather try the myriad of other treatment options first e.g. opiates, diet changes, sleep aids, etc. If they fail, as they have in my case, then out comes the Health Canada forms.

ahah i've been thinking about him hopefully this doesnt get me kicked off these forums.. but i've always wanted to be a cop and i dont think cops can have a mmar :S? or can they? haha

AFAIK, anyone can have a MMAR in this country. They don't ask your occupation, and besides, your job is not the issue: getting medical help IS the issue. If mmj can help, and you can get a doc to sign, you're in.

I knew many cops who smoked even on duty and drank beer in their cruisers, wouldn't recommend it (they are carrying guns). But now I'd suspect there are many tests and ways to find out. Being a cop would mean you'd have to arrest those who smoke, use while at the same time wanting to yourself.
