Drilling the hole in a bong?

Hey guys,

I have about a dozen tall vases in the perfect shape of a bong that I want to transform. Does anyone know how to make a perfect hole in curved glass without risk of shattering it? Thanks for the insight.

Yes, I do it is very easy...I used to make bongs out of glass when I was a kid.All you have to do is wrap duct tape around where your drilling the hole and in that area.Make sure theres a pretty good layer.THen drill the hole through the duct tape..THe glass will not shatter.Though do not take the ducttape off.

Pretty sure you need a special drill bit, a diamond head I think it's called.

Also, maybe fill your glass piece with sand and then drill, I heard that's a good way to do it.

Vibration and heat are what make the glass crack get carbite or dimond tip and go slow a little lude ( WD-40, oil, water, anything to cool and lube) will help. fill with sand and/or use a sand filled bag to rest it on.
