Dutch Passion, Glueberry OG, Flower Day 10

I’m running an HLG550V2 which I always run in flower at 100%. As mentioned just raise and lower the light for intensity. This light replaces a 1000 wt HPS. I am also running 2 Electric Sunshine 300’s which is replacing a 1000 wt HPS. I do dim my lights however in veg. I love the lower utilities bills, hardly any heat as you can even touch the lights and for sure the plants produce more. LED’s Rock.

Prior to purchasing my lights I watched numerous UTube videos on the success others had with different lights. There are numerous great quality lights on the market- Fluence being one of them. Because of all the positive results once you go LED you wouldn’t go back to any other lights. Both your grows with the Glueberry look great. Getting cuttings from all your plants then picking out 1 or 2 mothers is the way to go! Both these grows look amazing!

I'm into week 6 now and there have been some drastic changes in terms of ripeness recently. Phenotype 2 of the Glueberry has always been the faster finishing out of the bunch, usually about 8 weeks for me, but they are really speeding along.

Scrogfather mentioned taking his to 9 weeks but I honestly can't see me going that far. There been quite some discussions I've read on various forums that the Fluence lights knock about a week off the usual flowering time. I can't say for sure if that's true but I could most definitely harvest now if I had to which was unheard of with the HPS before.

I hate to bang on about it and it is definitely in combination with some superior hand picked genetics from Dutch Passion (finding the best plant), but these lights have just blown me away. A huge investment on my part after watching many youtube vids and doing research but boy have they paid off (and paid for themselves in two crops!) In every respect.

Whether it's these or others like Optic, Amare, PLC or Timber I think the balance has now properly swung to high tech, high performance and reliable LED which are (relatively) affordable - pics to follow...

So I'm at day 44 flower now and things have drastically changed over the last week or so. Buds swelling massively, frost and resin packing on and pistils turning red and receding.

It's hard to believe I have two weeks of swelling to go with these girls and I'm hopeful I'm going to hit my goal of 1gpw. They are slightly smaller than the previous GB OG crops but they are all top shelf bud due to my lollipopping and intense leaf strips a week before flower and at 21 days. The amount of crappy popcorn buds I threw away last run was silly.

To achieve my goal from the 8 plants I need a tiny touch over 3 Oz each. I'll be happy whatever but the significance of the 1gpw is that in three crops with my new lights (and a massive resurgence in my enthusiasm for my garden) I have doubled my previous best yield per watt whilst reducing my energy consumption by half - that is the stuff dreams are made of! Great Dutch Passion genetics are the icing on the cake.

It's all better produce too and more consistent so it's a win all round - enough waffling, here are the pics...

I’m just 4 months away from it being legal (getting my card and grow license so I’m waiting and waiting. I started a grow but cut it down recently. I had 13 plants growing- 6 of them were Glueberry. I figured I have waited over 50 years for me to do this legal so I’m going to wait! I have been fortunate to have never been caught or in trouble so I’m waiting for my license. I’m the state of MO we voted on what I think is the best setup in the entire country. I have followed all the other states and I believe MO has the best laws. I will grow 6 for me, 6 for my wife and 6 for my son as a caregiver for a total of 18 in flower and 18 in veg (no height restrictions in veg). I will share my 50 plus years of growing at that point and I’m sure I will learn a lot from you all. Can’t wait!!!!

Can’t wait for the weights and the bud porn!
I've harvested it but not fully trimmed all the plants yet as there was too much and it's takes too long doing it!

But i did manage to fully trim two out of the four plants and got 812 grams off both of those so if i get the same for the other two ill be expecting 1624 grams total dry bud which im very happy with and didn't expect

It would work out to be around 0.7g/watt of light.m which is a new personal best as I've been getting like 0.3g/watt usually so I beat my last grows with just two plants!

Tell you what @Scrogfather you've certainly lived up to the title mate. That's a cubic shit tonne of buds right there!
How big is the space? Just had a flick back and couldn't see it. I'm gonna have to start this scrogging business. Might get some autopots and give it a go next round. Got a few weeks before I need to finalise decisions but this is seriously making me want to do it. Inspirational grow mate. Beautifully done.

Cheers mate haha yeah I was quite surprised too as I wasn't expecting anywhere near that! But think the Glueberry had a big part to play in the yeild.

As for grow space it's 6ft x 6ft and the net had 2.5inch squares in it (I'd personally do 2 inch on the next run to make it easier tucking day to day)

Apparently autopots can be a bit of a pain with roots blocking water and nutes clogging the lines which will cause you problems when you can't move the plants due to the net being there, have you thought about using rdwc? Same sort of price and incredibly easy to use plus great yeilds.

Some tips if you do scrog
1). Set the net as low as possible (8 inch is good) as it will save you weeks in veg time
2). Top twice (any more and you will add the couple of weeks worth of grow back on)
3). Make sure your defoliating the plants as this will add a lot of density in the buds (I heavily defoliated in the stretch but only took a few leaves off after this)
4). Make sure you have plenty of space to get underneath as you will need to fully lollipop the plants a week or so into the stretch (don't do it after the stretch otherwise it will stress ya girls, plus if you don't lollipop them the tops buds won't reach maximum potential and you will be left with useless popcorn buds underneath)
5). Tucking the branches is a pain in the ass but be patient and do it every day otherwise they will get out of control and you will find it hard to tuck the shoots down if they get too big
6). You need plenty of air flow above and below the canopy as the buds will be much closer together
7). If your hanging the frame for the net from a tent make sure you use the the frame to the floor as well otherwise the plants will push the frame up meaning the branches won't spread as well
8). Make sure you keep tucking for about 10-14 days into the stretch (If you don't it won't be a true scrog and the results won't be as good)

Hope that wasn't tmi lol
