Hope this question makes sence, Im using a ec pen instead of cap full guessing, so if i take a gallon of water and add say 3/2/1 that has been premixed in another container I add to water till I get desired ec, say 1.4. if this is true the if i had 2 gallons of water at 1.4 and watered plant that would not over feed, if i had 1 gallon of water with ec of 2.8, that would overfeed, hoping i got this but i need to ask lol

Yes. It’s the concentration that matters, not so much the amount. As for the total amount, aim to saturate your pots (if you’re growing in pots) with the nutrient solution.
