First decent grow setup! Need some advice!

So I got my medicinal card recently and want to start my first legitimate grow. I've done it once before with meh results, so I want to do what I can to improve! I plan to grow 12 plants in a 10x5 tent. I'm going to divide the tent into two sections with Mylar or some other material with ducting for airflow as well as a fan. I want to separate it into 8'x5' for flower and 2'x5' for veg. Here's an idea of what kind of setup I'm thinking of

General supplies:


10x5 tent w/Mylar separation

6" inline exhaust fan w/ carbon filter on flower side

4" inline intake fan on veg side

6"ducting for fans and airflow between the two sides w/fan

12, 5 gallon grow bags

16 oz FF trio nute pack

2 timers

4 small oscillating fans


Veg:

6 bulb HO T5 6500k for 4 plants


Flower:

-600w hps air cooled hood w/ 600w ballast(with a 400w to come) for 8 plants


Strains: Sour Diesel, White Widow, -ChemDawg, and TrainWreck



Soil: promix hp 40%, perlite 20%, FF happy frog 20%, FF ocean forest 20%.



I was wondering if this sounds like a decent setup or not? And does my soil mix sound adequate? Some constructive criticism would be nice

My suggestion is to use two tents

10 gal Grow Bags = larger plants/harvest

Size your flower tent to the lights wattage you want to use.

no sense choosing a big tent unless your going to illuminate properly.

5X8 space = two 1000w HPS

Both are things I'm greatly considering help with heat/space issues. I'm thinking it may be a better idea to have separate rooms for the two, just will end up costing me more. The 5x10 is only 250, it's a pretty well constructed Apollo Horticulture tent. Where as 2 smaller tents would run me about 3-400 for the 2.

You can divide the tent in equal half's of 5'x5' and use less light for flower if price and watt draw is a concern.
