They are thriving, despite the cold ass weather we are having so far this year.

Nature tends to look after it's self when you let it. A couple savage (they've attacked me in the past) ants, are attacking an aphid or a slug. Now that's organic peat control.

Oh man. These stems are so nice and thick. No sign of any purple ones on these girls. Been bending the branches to grow around the cage. Should I top them? What do people normally do for outdoor grows?

Well all the ladies are looking green and fresh this morning. We have had pretty much no rain so far and I have watered very little. They finding that water somewhere. :) Today I pulled a few weeds, laid down some sheep manure and gave them a little drink. I swear I could smell them, as I was planting some tomatoes near by.

The plan during this grow is to feed with a mixture of manure, tea, and good old fashion fish tsbk water! :) Old Hank here pretty much makes nitrogen rich fertilizer everyday. So depending on if it is a wet or dry season I will water with manure fish tank tea, or just spread manure and let the rain do the rest.
I have a very prolific fishy as well..and didn't know I could use fish tank water! That is amazing! What about compost tea? Can that be used as well? Im stoked!

Compost/ manure tea is pretty much the best you can use outdoors from what I have read. I haven't made any yet. I have just been putting manure down and then watering with the aquarium water. They seem to be loving it so far.

Well just a little bit of rain made a great big difference. Why did I olant those 2 so close together. I was gonna dig one up but that seems like a sin at this point.

Nice Oscar... How far east are ya? I'm from a tiny town that's extremely far east for Canada ;)

Well I finally made it out to my back yard for the 1st time in days. The little lady in the back has taken off and almost caught up to the monsters in the front. They smell so good already. Hopefully I can keep them watered and fed.

These two girls are not doing nearly aswell. Conditions on the hill must not be as ideal. I gave them a heavy feeding this evening. Full strength General Hydroponics. This will be there 1st nutes since going outside. The sheep manure just isn't cutting it, up on the hill.

Well, time for an update. We have had rainy, foggy weather. Turns out the girls are just soaking it up. Loving it! They are chest high now. Completely out of control! Looking good for no nutes. :)
