Brought these little girls home on April 26th. They were only 1 day old cuttings. 7 little GDP (Grand Daddy Purple Clones). I will choose 4 for my own garden and place 3 in friends garden who lives nearby. I will do my best to document my activities and provide loads of pictures, info and updates. I also welcome any and all advice, comments, and sugestions. So come follow along on this exciting journey from clone to hopefully (fingers crossed) harvest. :)

After about a week. The little ones showed signs of a terrible pest. SPIDER MITES! Leaves had been turning color and then i noticed the 1st of the webs. For their 1st treatment, i took them outside in the shade. I filled a bowl with Safers Insecticidal Soap, and I gave each clone a dunk. I mean i turned them upside down, immersed, and then swished each one around a bit. I then let them sit for about 30 mins. At this time I rinsed each with a spray bottle of water. I then dried each leaf with a paper towel before placing them back into the veg room.

5 days later I gave the entire room a spraying of Insecticidal Soap. Knowing that there were eggs and the life cycle must be broken up over several treatments. I let them sit for a hour in the dark, then rinsed thoroughly with a spray bottle of water. The following day they were transpotted to 1L pots.

The plan during this grow is to feed with a mixture of manure, tea, and good old fashion fish tsbk water! :) Old Hank here pretty much makes nitrogen rich fertilizer everyday. So depending on if it is a wet or dry season I will water with manure fish tank tea, or just spread manure and let the rain do the rest.

Came across this guy in the drive way last night. Seems like a good omen. Hopefully he is patrolling the property cleaning up all the pests and critters. He took a strike at the dog, so he feisty atleast.

The day has finally come! 4 GDP transplanted outside. 2 in my raised bed vegetable garden, and 2 on the hill, with my high bush blue berry plants.
Dug holes which I filled with a mixture of mulch, bedding mix, and composted sheep manure. I did not water only because it is calli g for rain tomorrow.

Well the little ladies have survived their first week outside. The temp dropped pretty low the last couple of mornings but not below freezing. I think they are looking good.
