Flushing before harvesting

Aloha,
Can and would someone please let me know how often and for how many days/weeks do I flush my plants before harvesting them. How much water do I use and do I flush even though the soil is still wet? My plant that I will do first is stunted but thick. I will attemp to post a photo with this question. Much Mahalo for any and all replies.

a couple weeks before you harvest you need to let it dry just next time you water use regular water.

Flush yeah! a couple of weeks before harvest as exile suggests, but its only done to enhance the taste and for chemical growers to remove the harsh metallic taste, you get from a toke, flush with 3 times the volume of soil, with water at the same temperature as the air.
