I've seen it where some go all the way through with MH and some go all the way with HPS. You can get good deals on both though so I don't know why you'd want to do that unless your experience dictates otherwise.

I just got two MH 7200K bulbs for around $60 and would've gotten the same deal if I had looked a little longer on the HPS.

i got my 1000w ballast home now and it came with the HPS bulb.right now its on a 400w MH so i will put 1000w this week with the HPS.i am going to buy the MH on coming weeks.just starting on this first grow .i got a DWC on work now ,im just reading alot, .practice makes perfect .
