when the seed is under the soil how far should it be from the light and what should be the cycle of the light?????
I use a CFL to get them going..you can put a CFL within 2-3 " of a seedling top..same to keep soil warm before it pops..The plant can't see light until she breaks ground; then she goes hunting for light..I keep the light on for 24hrs a day until they surface..then 18/6..I also use a transparent cup as a humidity dome..NOTE: LED Fixtures are a bad choice for very young seedlings..When they are ready..2-3 nodes in (not including round starter leaves)..I gradually acclimate them to the stronger light..Also I take the humidity dome off as soon as they break ground..keeping it on can encourage Powdery Mold.
