Harvesting in stages

So is it possible or recommended to harvest mature branches and letting the under developed that didnt get as much light continue to grow and mature? I am growing in soil also quit all nutrients 2 and a half weeks ago.

I would think cutting branches on top would stress the plant pretty severe ,
I mean it's always worth a good experiment, worst could happens is you loose some bud .
But then again you'll gain knowledge, so it's not really a lost.

But would u really even lose it? Couldn’t u just harvest it if it doesn’t work out, Also I’ve seen people do it, online, if u do it a little at a time it causes less stress

I was stating the worst case scenario.

Yes I just did it and have done in past...
Works well, buds do finish better than if cut with tops but you can't now put a new Veg plant in the box for a few weeks. 2-4 weeks to finish)
