I started some seeds in root riot plugs i put them directly into a 5gal hempy bucket a few days after they sprouted. I know this was a mistake but circumstances dictate sometimes. Theyve been in the buckets for alittle over a week and no new growth. They look healthy they just dont grow. My question is how long am I looking at before the plant starts growing again?

Probably thinking it would have been better to start small then transplant to the 5 g

That's what I was thinking. I have never agreed with that. It just seems to introduce an unnecessary step. Too many people around here seem to feel that if they don't start a plants life by stunting it with its tap root circling the bottom of a Solo cup they're doing something wrong.

Lol finally we agree on something my good man.. i never do the transplant thing....
Like you said why shock the plant if you dont have too.
"Starting in big pots slows growth" but so does every transplant so in theory it probably works out to be the same
