Is a 6 inch Hurricane Inline Fan way too much for a 4x4x8 Tent?

I got a great deal on a Hurricane 6 inch inline fan and I have a 4x4x8 tent.

Is this too large an inline fan to use and if not, how should I have it set up in the tent? I have a 600 Watt HPS MH Grow Light Hood Reflector.

Not too large, although most people would use a fan speed controller on it. The general way to set it up is carbon filter>reflector>fan.

I have a fan speed controller so I will use that on the fan

I don't have a carbon filter and really no need for one( live in the Boonies) but I do have a cheap $22 silver metal 6 inch fan

So if no carbon filter, should my set up be cheap fan>reflector>fan.

Omit the cheap fan. It's useless. just reflector>hurricane.

I got a 4.5 by 4.5 tent with 6 in fan and scrubber and it sucks the walls in with the controller turned down

The fan has to PULL the hot air buildup, she's more efficient at pulling than blowing on that air. So try to have the fan sucking the heat and try to have ducting as straight to the exits as possible so the whole system is better at keeping those nice temps
