Police found a large amount of marijuana in the suitcase of a man whose bus stopped on the way to Shreveport.

John Sebastian Roberts, 19, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., was arrested for felony marijuana possession early Wednesday morning at the Kerrville Bus Company station on Northwest Stallings Drive, according to Nacogdoches Police reports.

His bus stopped at the station en route to Shreveport from Houston, where officers routinely patrol, police said. Officers noticed Roberts acting in a suspicious manner, and when he boarded the bus, they followed him and began a conversation.

When he acted nervous, officers asked for permission to search him and found approximately 10 pounds of marijuana in his suitcase. The drugs might weigh more or less than 10 pounds, but officers did not have a precise scale to weigh them. Felony marijuana possession, a third-degree felony, encompasses all amounts between 5 and 50 pounds.
