Mandeville Police Officer Among Three Arrested On Drug Charges

Louisiana - An investigation led by the Narcotics Task Force in Mandeville led to a search warrant of a Mandeville police officer’s home and the arrest of three people that reside in the home, including his stepchild.

Mark Nichols, 23, was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana with an intent to distribute, possession of adderoll, a prescription drug, possession of a firearm in presence of controlled dangerous substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and monetary instrument abuse.

Kevin Quinn, 18, was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a legend drug without a prescription.

Erika Pfleider, 20, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also seized several marijuana plants and $2,000 in cash.

All three gave their address as 110 Dona Dr., Mandeville.

The officer has been suspended pending an internal investigation.

Acting Chief Capt. Ron Ruple said that disciplinary action in such cases can range from suspension to termination. Ruple added that there is no evidence thus far that suggests the officer was involved other than it was his house.

Ruple said the internal investigation has begun and appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken against the officer.
