PA. - A York City couple was arrested Saturday night for drug possession after being pulled over after failure to use a turn signal, police said.

Police said around 8:30 p.m., a green Ford Taurus traveling at East Gas Avenue onto North George Street made a turn without using a turn signal.

While approaching the vehicle, three police officers on scene smelled what they believed was marijuana.

One officer asked "Why don't we start off on the right foot and tell us where the marijuana is." The driver, Julio Enrique Olivencia, said "It's in my pocket," and told police that he'd just finished smoking a blunt, police said.

Police said Olivencia also confirmed to police that he didn't possess a state driver's license.

Olivencia, and his passenger, Virginia Merced, both of the 100 block of East Charles Lane, were charged with possession of marijuana. The pair were processed and released at Central Booking.
