Need help - What am I doing wrong

How damp are you keeping your cubes? If the cubes are saturated they could cause the roots to rot. If they dry out the plant will die.

Suggestion would be to take your seed and soak in distilled water overnight and then put it between a layer of paper towel that has been moistened (not drenching wet). Place the seed and paper towel in a Ziploc bag and leave it for 1-2 days in a dark warm location. You can check to make sure the paper towed is not dried out. After about 2 days you will see the seed with a tap root on it.

No place some potting soil that is slightly moist in a Solo Cup (most people say use a colored one) . You should poke some holes in the cup. Place your sprouted seed with the tap root down in the soil about 1/4" deep not to deep. Now put some plastic wrap over the top to hold in the moisture and put it under a light that isn't too bright. Many use a 60 Watt CFL or 2. In a day or 2 your plant will pop up.

Don't water ..... just spritz with water mist if needs it. As the plant grows a little you can start hardening it by taking off the plastic wrap for an hour or two and then put back on. Eventually it will be large enough to be out of danger.
