Cannabis education in general will always be biased to the negative bacause of Federal funding for the majority of schools. Conditional upon accepting grant moneys is the tacit acceptance of the Government's zero tolerance for drugs stance. This largely limits any truths in drug education and, more importantly, limits harm minismisation strategies. I think the biggest impediment to the success of initiatives such as Proposition 215 and other harm minimisation or mmj options, will be the zero tolerance policy of the Federal Government. The DEA would be the biggest lobbier to keep this policy unchanged - it would not be in their best interest to change policy as their very existence is based on the misinformation and illegality of drugs.

It seems that the one thing everyone said, but didn't quite say, is that as long as the government "educates" the kids it will continue to make ignorant sheep out of them. We should never have let the federal government take charge in our schools and it won't get better until they're out of the business.
