PH In & Runoff PH Question

The feeding today went very well. My combined runoff after feeding my two oldest 1.5 ltr and my two others 1 ltr I got a runoff of 1 ltr I was able to get a clear sample of runoff after I let it sit for 5 minutes or so. Runoff came back at 5.5 and Ph of my Feed was 6.2. Can anyone tell me anything about that variance?
I will look in the meantime....
Thanks,

You don't say anything about what you're growing in, but some soil can lower pH of feed water. Peat moss, for instance.
Sunshine Mix 4 and Pearlite additive. 3 to 1 Sunshine to pearlite. Using Humboldt's Oneness, CalMag, and Structural Integrity for feed.

Perlite should be pH neutral, so it must be something in the mix.

I looked up the mix. It looks like it's coco, not peat.

That's not a big drop. I wouldn't worry about it.

Also, if you're adding pH Down, sometimes it takes a while (even overnight) for pH to stabilize after adding that, so that's a possibility.

Really, not to worry. People get way to worked up over trying to hit a magic pH number and way too freaked out about the dreaded lockout.

With a commercial mix and fertilizers correctly used (usually at 1/2 recommended strength), you should be fine.

Do you have a PPM meter? If not, that's a good investment.
