Police Seize 17 Pounds Of Marijuana

Police found 17 pounds of high grade marijuana and $10,800 in cash after executing a search warrant Friday at 11 Floral Ave. in Binghamton.

Members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force and the Binghamton Police Department's Community Response team charged Rodrick S. Britton, 40, of Pearl Street in Johnson City, with one count of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and second-degree criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor, police said. Shawn R. Jordan, 25, of Ely Park in Binghamton was charged with one count of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

Britton and Jordan were arraigned in the City of Binghamton Court and remanded to the Broome County jail without bail.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force is made up of members of the county sheriff's office and the Binghamton Police Department.
