VANCOUVER — A pickup truck loaded with stolen marijuana crashed into the garage of a home in Vancouver Tuesday morning, after a brief police chase.

No one was injured.

Police said two men robbed a medical marijuana grow operation and loaded the goods into a stolen truck.

Then, someone called 9-1-1 to report a suspicious vehicle and responding officers tried to pull over the driver for questioning. But the driver instead sped up and fled.

The chase ended in the 8200-block of NE 78th Street in Vancouver, when the driver crashed into the garage.

From there, the driver and passenger fled on foot but a K-9 team tracked them down a short time later, police said.

Investigators later learned that the truck and marijuana inside it had been stolen.

Derek Erving, 18, of Vancouver and Justin Neighbours, 21, also of Vancouver were arrested on several charges, including burglary, possession of drugs, possession of stolen property and hit-and-run.
