Preparing for cloning: how to flush?

Although it doesn't mean Flushing exactly, another thread here recommends lowering nitrogen levels by both changing nuts and spraying the foliage. In my opinion, both methods offered there and my original post aims similar things (mostly); lowering N levels in foliage.

Smokin Moose was a prodigy and is much missed. If he said to do this, I would follow it.

It makes a lot of sense actually and I am glad you pointed this out, or I never would have been able to try it. The biggest problem with cuttings is getting them to throw out roots in a timely manner, before they die. He obviously put a lot of thought and knowledge into this trick, so as to get a much better success rate on his clones. I am going to take a puff in honor of our fallen warrior, Smokin Moose.

I don't know him but it feels like he was a Good and respected guy. So I will take a puff in honor of him as well.
