question about seed and hydroponic system

sorry to start a new thread.i know a decent amount of info on hydro systems but i got a question.how do u put the plant in the system?like to u first get it germinated and just put it in the tray between the rocks?

Are you using rock wool? Or ready grow plugs? I guees you could just put it right in the rocks after germination. But its much easier to but them a medium then intothe hydroton...
